If I do get a Mac, it wouldn't be until at least April. Maybe they'll be a nice price by then... I never really did want to get a 12" iBook, though. I'd love to be able to play around with one before I buy one, but that just isn't an option around here.

Or I could just build some other (quiet) computer instead. Which is what I think I might do. I've been wanting to cut down on the noise levels lately. Of course, putting my Linux box (krypton) in another room would help immensely with that. Problem is, there isn't really any place I could put it right now.

eh… i was nosing around at ibook’s at futureshop, beware the ‘cheapest’ ibook 12.1″ screen really sucks. not very bright or good to look at. I’d probably go for the 14″..

14″ ibook 933mhz is $100 more than a 15″ imac 1ghz. heh.. I think I’d go for the ibook. but, they should be seeing price cuts on mac’s soon. i believe apple signed some agreement for cheaper mfging of cases/etc.

As a person who only actually owns one computer, an ANYTHING inch laptop would do me, hehe. It’s cheaper by about $400 or so i think though, making it definately worth my while (Again, if you think you could handle the grossness of an eMac…hehe).

Really? Wow, heh. Although, I never really checked into it all that much yet. I'd rather not be tempted to get it all with an Apple Loan (an iLoan? heh).

But I have a laptop now, and I'd rather not get a 12" screen on an iBook either. a 17" CRT or 15" LCD would be my lower limit these days.

When I checked it out myself, I found an iBook to actually be cheaper than an iMac. Weird.
